Keep On Keepin’ On

Why should I feel discouraged. Why should the shadows come. Why should my heart feel lonely. And long for heaven and home. When Jesus is my portion. A constant friend is He. His eye is on the sparrow. And I know He watches over me. His eye is on the sparrow. And I know He watches me. (His Eye is on the Sparrow, Charles Gabriel & Civilia Martin).

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns . . Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Matthew 6:25-27 NIV.

Worrying is such a hard habit to break free from. Its like baggage one continues to carry around, week after week, month after month, year after year. Everyday I have to remind myself to put down the baggage so my hands will be free for new things to embrace. May your baggage be laid aside too! After all if birds live without luggage, surely we can too.
